Unearthed is a series of works created by cutting and reassembling topographic maps, transforming them into layered, imagined terrains. Through the use of ink and pigmented graphite, the pieces suggest mineral deposits, ancient sediments, artifacts, and buried landscapes. The series evokes both physical and psychological strata—interwoven layers of memory, time, and matter. Each composition functions as a fictional excavation, merging cartography with archaeology and blurring the boundary between the visible and the hidden. The maps shift from navigational tools to speculative fields, revealing subtle, complex layers beneath the surface.
