Faulted is a series of map-based artworks exploring the tension between order and disruption, inspired by Earth’s slow geological forces. Hand-cut, ink-washed maps are transformed into abstract compositions that echo tectonic movement. Through processes of deconstruction and reassembly, each piece blends vibrant, fluid forms with rigid cartographic geometry, highlighting the ongoing push and pull between structure and entropy. The series connects the visual language of mapping with hidden natural patterns, reflecting an evolving landscape where boundaries break, shift, and ultimately give rise to something new.
